With Nike dominating so many sectors of the sporting industry, it comes as no surprise that the giant would eventually introduce a golf line. Consisting of balls, clubs, and apparel, Nike golf products offer equipment and accessories to compliment even the most experienced of professionals. As part of its quest to remain a leader, Nike has managed to secure a long list of celebrity and sport professionals to act as spokespersons. In 1996, Nike enlisted phenomenon Tiger Woods to help bring the golfing line to new heights.

Nike offers a long list of golf clubs, including drivers, woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters. The latest release in the Nike Golf line is the Nike SQ Dymo STR8-FIT, featuring a design superior to that of the Nike SUMO. The new Dymo contains an adjustable head with eight settings, for a truly customized golfing experience. The various settings allow golfers to set a specific degree, from 2 degrees closed through to 2 degrees open. The Nike SQ Dymo also provides a choice of lie angles to compliment the height of a particular golfer. According to a few of the experts, the innovative design and superior capabilities of the Dymo line will likely coerce the Sumo series into retirement.

In late 2008, Nike introduced its line of Victory Red irons, available in Forged TW Blades, Forged Split Cavity, and Full Cavity Victory Red models. The Nike Victory Red irons were tested by several pro golfers during last summer’s PGA Tour, with rave results. Paul Casey, who placed seventh in the event, attributed an increase of about two to three yards to the Victory Red Forged TW Blades.

The Nike Victory Red line features a conventional shape and unsurpassed craftsmanship. Tiger Woods also played an integral role in the clubs’ design, working with Nike professionals to produce a first-rate line. In particular, Woods directly influenced the Victory Red Forged TW Blade, providing center of gravity specs that contribute to more precise and controlled movements. Woods was pleased with the end result, praising the Victory Red’s ability to help him shape the ball while retaining maximum efficiency.
